A: City of Imperial Utility Bills (Water, Sewer, Trash) are due the 15th of each month. If the 15th of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, the bill will be due the following working day. This applies for automatic payment postings to customers accounts as well.

A: No, there is not an extra processing charge when paying with a credit card. The City accepts payment through our customer service portal here, over the phone at (760) 355-1247, or in person at any of our publicly accessible facilities.
A: Utility Service Disconnections for non-payment fall sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the bill is due (15th of each month). To avoid late fees or disconnections in service, we strongly encourage account holders to pay their bills by the 15th, or before the grace period ends on the last working day of each month.
A: If you would like to reserve a field or park for a birthday party, or other special event, please access our RecDesk Platform. You can also reserve your space over the phone by calling (760) 355-3134, or via email at parks@cityofimperial.org.
A: Street light outages can be reported to the Public Services department at (760) 355-2155, or you can email jsolorzano@cityofimperial.org. You will need to pole number and closest cross street/intersection. The City will provide the street light information to the Imperial Irrigation District for repair.

A: Currently the City of Imperial does not have a noise ordinance, or restricted hours on noise within the City. To report any nuisance, please contact the Imperial Police Department Non-Emergency Line at (760) 355-1158.
A: Yes, you can submit your plans online via email. To contact the Building & Planning Division, please click here (link TBD). You can also pay for your permit over the phone with a credit card by call (760) 355-1152.
A: You do need a permit for a yard sale and/or garage sale. As a resident in the City of Imperial, you are allowed up to four free permits per year. For additional permits, you must obtain a business license with the Administrative Services Department.
A: The Imperial Public Library is open to restricted hours of operation due to COVID from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
A: To obtain an Imperial Public Library Card, residents need a picture ID and a proof of address such as a recent utility bill. If the applicant is a minor, a parent or guardian must list themselves as a co-applicant to obtain a card.
A: The Department of Public Services is responsible for street maintenance in the City of Imperial. To report street repairs, please submit a contact form here (link to RESIDENTS/VISITORS/BUSINESSES hub) or contact (760) 355-2155.

A: The City of Imperial street sweeping schedule is available here. The City contracts with Republic Services to provide street sweeping within City neighborhoods.
A: There are two days for trash collection within the City of Imperial. Wednesdays for those South of Neckel Road, and Thursdays for housing North of Neckel Road. For more information, please contact Republic Services directly at (760) 337-2418.
