Parks

The City of Imperial Parks Department is responsible for the operations and maintenance of sixteen (16) neighborhood parks, the Imperial Transit Park, and landscapes and greenways. The Parks Department’s mission is to preserve and improve the physical, social and economic health of Imperial neighborhoods by delivering inclusive, innovative and progressive recreational opportunities.

Anthony Lopez is currently the Director of Parks for the City of Imperial. As a long-time resident of Imperial County, Anthony brings over fifteen years’ experience to the Public Sector. He is very passionate about parks, and works to provide beautiful, natural areas that enhance the quality life for residents and visitors alike. Anthony’s goal is to offer a variety of opportunities for both active and passive forms of recreation and cultural activities to serve the needs of the community.
