TELECONFERENCE NOTICE

Pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20 issued by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 17, 2020 and to the extent applicable Government Code Section 54953(b), this City Council Meeting may include teleconference participation by the City Council Members and City staff. Consistent with Executive Order N-29-20 teleconference locations utilized by City Council Members shall not be accessible to the public and are not subject to special posting requirements.

The Imperial City Council meetings, including public comments, are being live streamed on the City’s social media pages. By remaining in the room you are giving your permission to be recorded.

A. CITY COUNCIL CONVENES TO CLOSED SESSION AT 6:30 PM.

This is a CLOSED SESSION in which the COUNCIL discusses matters in closed as opposed to open session. Only those matters authorized by the Brown Act as permissible CLOSED SESSION subjects will be discussed. They are as follows:

A-1.SUBJECT:CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL-ANTICIPATED LITIGATION.
  (Initiation of litigation pursuant to paragraph (4) of subdivision (D) of Section 54956.9).

 1.AUTHORIZATION TO DISBURSE FUNDS FOR THE LAST PAYMENT OF THE THREE-YEAR LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF IMPERIAL AND DELL FINANCIAL SERVICES FOR $23,344.66.
F-2.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE PROGRAM FUNDING REPORT
 1.APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NUMBER 2021-53, APPROVING FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021 DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE FUNDING REPORT.
F-3.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: VICTORIA RANCH SUBDIVISION UNIT 2A
 1.APPROVAL AND ACCEPTANCE OF MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING REGARDING PUBLIC SIDEWALK INSTALLATION FOR VICTORIA RANCH SCHOOL SITE BETWEEN THE EL CENTRO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE CITY OF IMPERIAL.
F-4.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: TRAFFIC CONCERNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF MIRADOR STREET AND BREWER ROAD
 1.APPROVE AND SELECT APPROPRIATE MITIGATION MEASURE TO ADDRESS TRAFFIC CONCERNS AT THE INTERSECTION OF MIRADOR STREET AND BREWER ROAD.
F-5.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: RESOLUTION OF THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES REGARDING THE FAIR AND EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF BRADLEY BURNS 1% LOCAL SALES TAX
 1.APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 2021-54 OF THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES CALLING ON THE STATE LEGISLATURE TO PASS LEGISLATION THAT PROVIDES FOR A FAIR AND EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF THE BRADLEY BURNS 1% LOCAL SALES TAX.
F-6.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE NECESSARY FUNDING FOR CALIFORNIA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION (CUPC)
 1.APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 2021-55 CALLING UPON THE GOVERNOR AND LEGISLATURE TO PROVIDE NECESSARY FUNDING FOR CUPC TO FULFILL ITS OBLIGATION TO ENSURE RAILROAD OPERATORS INSPECT AND REMOVE ILLEGAL DUMPING, GRAFFITI AND HOMELESS ENCAMPMENTS ALONG COMMUNITIES AND NEIGHBORHOODS ABUTTING RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY.
F-7.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: OPPOSE STATE LEGISLATION RELATING TO HOUSING, CITY GOVERNANCE AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS, AND PUBLIC SAFETY
